    1. What facts are known about the library? What happened there? What was taught? What was contained within its legendary inventory?
    2. What are the three predominant legends that survive “explaining” the fall and loss of the great library? Please explain each. For each, make sure your last sentence reduces each of the three causes to one word.
    3. According to the article, what is the true tragedy of the loss?
